Khabib Nurmagomedov Fires Zinger Back at “Fake” Conor McGregor, Following Latter’s Twitter Barrage

Conor McGregor is back to trashing Khabib Nurmagomedov via social media, and it didn’t take the UFC lightweight champ to respond with a zinger.

Nurmagomedov claps back at McGregor

On Monday, McGregor let it be known that he intends to “butcher” Justin Gaethje, following the latter’s stoppage win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 249, which delivered him the interim lightweight title.

McGregor also took a poke at Khabib’s wrestling-centric style, and called the champ a “rat” once more. 

Well, since then, Khabib shared out this response.

Yes, we remember you, you was so nice that night, be same, don’t be fake.

In case you’re new to MMA, Nurmagomedov fought McGregor in 2018 and submitted him in round four. Nurmagomedov, who controlled much of that fight, is coming off a submission win over Dustin Poirier this past September.

Nurmagomedov also shared out this.

Nurmagomedov’s next bout?

Now, although McGregor’s claiming that Khabib won’t fight Gaethje, and that he’s next for Justin, that seems unlikely right now. Not long ago, Nurmagomedov said he’d be ready to fight in July. 

So, one would think the UFC will look at having Nurmagomedov and Gaethje fight this summer. But, if Khabib gets injured or can’t compete, don’t be shocked if Gaethje – McGregor becomes a reality.
