Parton Releases New Quarantine-Inspired Song

Fox News reported that Parton just released her new song “When Life is Good Again,” which was inspired by the many lessons she has learned while isolating due to COVID-19.

In the song, Patton touches on themes like compassion, thoughtfulness, and living in the moment. She also expresses the sentiment that she plans to bring all of this with her when quarantine finally comes to an end.

“When life is good again / I’ll be a better friend / A bigger person when / Life is good again / More thoughtful than I’ve been / I’ll be so different then / More in the moment when / Life is good again,” Parton sings. “I’ll open up my heart / And let the whole world in / I’ll try to make amends / When life is good again.”

Here’s the music video of her new song:

Parton Touches On Her Faith

Parton touches on her strong Christian faith in the song as well and pledges to “repent for” her sins.

She then ends the song by reassuring her fans that “it’s gonna be good again” before going into detail about all the things she plans to do after quarantine.

Parton sings that she plans do things she likely took for granted before all of this started, like walking in the park, drinking with old friends, and flying a kite.

The song concludes:

“God’s the reason for all things / You want rainbows, you get rain / We’ll all be forever changed / I’ll sail my boat and fly my kite / Walk in the park, go out at night / And hold my loved ones extra tight / When everything is on the mend / I’ll even drink with my old friends / Sing and play my mandolin / We’ll make it through this long dark night / Darkness fades when faced with light / And everything’s gonna be alright / When life is good again.”

Parton Releases Powerful Music Video

The powerful music video for the song shows Parton sitting in a dark room watching home videos on a projector. Throughout the video, essential workers like nurses, law enforcement officers, and postal employees can be seen watching the projection as well as they wear masks.

At the end of the video, all the essential workers who are watching strip off their masks as Parton opens a large door, filling the dark room with light. At the end, a message flashes across the screen that reads, “Be safe, be respectful, wear your mask, lead with love.”

God bless Dolly Parton for giving all of us such a powerful message of hope during this difficult time.
