The UFC is going to return, and they are going to do so with a bang.
According to multiple reports, the promotion is targeting May 9 for a live event with three championship matches on the fight card.
In the main event, Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will collide for the interim lightweight title. Henry Cejudo will defend his bantamweight gold vs. Dominick Cruz and Amanda Nunes faces Felicia Spencer for her featherweight title.
Where the event will go down, however, remains a mystery. Reports have circulated that the UFC Apex in Las Vegas could be used, and Florida recently cleared the way for WWE to air live programming, deeming the promotion an “essential business.”
Along with the three title fights, Francis Ngannou would face Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Jeremy Stephens meets Calvin Kattar, Donald Cerrone battles Anthony Pettis, Greg Hardy tackles Yorgan de Castro and Fabricio Werdum meets Carla Esparza.
