As the world continues to battle the spread of the coronavirus, boxing star, Tyson Fury, is calling on his fellow British citizens to keep up the fight.
The heavyweight champ recently shared out the video below, in which Fury called on people to stay united in the fight against the virus, and to stay indoors (quotes via Bloody Elbow).
“First of all I’d just like to say hope everyone is keeping well, staying safe indoors and not going out spreading the virus,” Fury said. “After listening to what the Prime Minister said I’m taking it deadly serious as should you. Let’s fight this virus together as a nation, as a family and as a team.”
“It’s very very important to listen to Boris (Johnson) and stay indoors. I’ve had a person bring the gym over to me today, I’ve got a running machine and a few free weights. I’m going to keep fit and post daily videos of myself training and working out, to keep you going and keep me going. Everybody knows without the gym I’m finished.”
Fury is coming off a dominant, stoppage win over Deontay Wilder in February, and the two were expected to fight for a third time this summer (they battled to a draw in their first bout in 2018). But, now it’s being reported that on account of the coronavirus, Fury – Widler III will take place on October 3rd in Las Vegas.
