Triple H Says Randy Orton Was Tanking His Own Career

Randy Orton is a man with an interesting history. When he first appeared in the WWE, many described him as arrogant. Triple H recently spoke out about Randy and his troubles early on in his career.

Triple H Put Randy Orton Straight

It is widely known that Triple H had a big influence on Randy’s career. HHH warned him about the self-destructive path he was on. He told him:

“Randy, you have every gift imaginable to be the biggest star this business has ever seen, and the only one that can stop you is you, and you are hellbent on doing it and I don’t know why.”

Randy Orton’s background was briefly mentioned during his current feud with Edge. He mentioned how Edge helped him early in his career. He claims he wants to protect Edge against a potential lethal injury, which is why he attacked him after the Royal Rumble. All in all, it is one of the best stories the company has seen in years.

Orton About His Self-Destructive Path

Several superstars were interviewed for the Ruthless Aggression series on the WWE network. One of them was Randy Orton. He spoke about becoming the WWE World Champion at the young age of 24. He also admitted he was not ready for that responsibility.

“At 24 I became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion and I don’t think I was ready. I was young, and I didn’t know what it was to be Champion. It got thrust upon me and I had a lot of learning on the job.

Batista also spoke out about Randy Orton during his Evolution days. The wrestling stable consisted of Ric Flair, Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton. Batista also stated Randy was not ready, something WWE legend Mark Henry talked about, too.

Mark Henry Says Fame Went To Randy Orton’s Head

Randy Orton was an unpleasant person during his younger years. There are countless stories about Orton in his old days. One of the men who spoke out about Orton over the years is Mark Henry.

Hall of Famer Mark Henry admits that Randy was not ready for the championship run. He says the fame went to his head, leading to the stories we know about him today.

The Current Randy Orton

The Randy Orton we know today is very different from the 24-year-old in Evolution. He married his second wife Kimberly Kessler in 2015, who was a member of his fan club. The couple have a daughter named Brooklyn Rose Orton, which is Randy’s second daughter.

Thanks to the mentorship of the people closest to him, and Evolution, Randy Orton is the WWE legend Triple H saw so many years ago. He is currently set for a feud against his former tag team partner and friend Edge. In fact, it is the most anticipated match this year.

So, despite his past troubles, Orton is the legend he was meant to be. We can’t wait to see what is next for him and his career.
