John Cena Calls Brock Lesnar Greatest In-Ring Performer, Cryme Tyme

John Cena has big praise for Brock Lenar, calling him the “greatest in-ring performer of all time.” Also, Cryme Tyme are teasing a return.

John Cena Calls Brock Lesnar Greatest In-Ring Performer

Since Brock Lesnar returned to WWE about six years ago, he has been featured in mostly high profile matches. Two of those matches were against John Cena, who praised Lesnar as the “greatest in-ring performer of all time.”

“I’m proud to say I watched the Royal Rumble from my own home on the WWE Network and I thought the event, and especially the Rumble, was absolutely awesome,” said Cena to Sports Illustrated. “So, if you watched from Houston or if you were in the audience it really didn’t seem like I was missed. I thought the event was extra special. It was great to be able to watch it as a fan and not endure any fear of missing out and just enjoy the event.”

“And I can say with the utmost sincerity that I believe Brock Lesnar is best in-ring performer that I’ve seen. I know it’s an opinion, and if you want a cool quote, here it is: I think he’s the best in-ring performer of all time.”

“I thought his performance at the Rumble was a clinic on how to establish yourself, how to establish those around you, establish the championship, establish the importance of one event. He did so in less than 30 minutes, and I certainly don’t have the skill set to do that, and it was awesome to be able to see a masterclass man put on a clinic on what to do and how to do it and I was really impressed with the Rumble.”

What’s Next For Lesnar

This year’s Royal Rumble was unlike all the previous ones. Lesnar walked in as WWE Champion and even opted to be number one. He would easily eliminate half of the participants until Drew McIntyre got rid of “The Beast.” With McIntyre winning the Rumble, he now faces Lesnar at WrestleMania 36.

In Lesnar’s return match to WWE, he lost to Cena. Then, the two met again at SumerSlam, with Lesnar basically squashing Cena to claim gold. Since then, the two have gone down different paths.

Cryme Tyme Teases Return

Do not be surprised if some familiar WWE faces appear at wrestling events. Shad Gaspard and JTG, who competed in WWE as Cryme Tyme, are teasing a reunion. They tweeted the following message to fans.

Cryme Tyme was a comedy team that the fans got behind. They are sort of like The Street Profits. Eventually, WWE split the duo up with Shad playing the heel. He was rumored for a major push, but it never happened. As for JTG, he did little once the team was done.

Joe Lisnow

The lineage of pro wrestling dates back centuries, tying the world together through the art of storytelling. After nearly 30 years of watching, now Joe has the chance to report the news about men and women competing inside a 20-foot by 20-foot ring.
