Gary Sinise Honored With Patriot Award For His Commitment To Helping Veterans
Gary Sinise was honored by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society with the Patriot Award for his very important work for veterans and first responders.
Gary Sinise was honored by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society this week with the Patriot Award. The Patriot Award is “reserved for Americans who have distinguished themselves through a lifetime of work upholding the ideals represented by the Society.”
Sinise has been helping has been helping veterans and first responders for decades. The “CSI: NY” actor has invested a tremendous amount of time and money into thanking our veterans and especially our wounded warriors.
Sinise Receives Patriot Award
The humble Sinise considers it an honor to be able to help these heroes. He does not seek attribution or applause. That’s what makes the Patriot Award so special. It’s the highest award given out by the society. It honors and recognizes those who have contributed significantly to American military services.

Sinise received the esteemed Patriot Award at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley during the Society’s Patriot Award Week. The award is handed to those who exemplify the ideals that make the United States strong. These individuals demonstrate selfless dedication to the six values at the core of the Medal of Honor: courage and sacrifice, commitment and integrity, citizenship and patriotism. As the Society’s website reads, “Their dedication to freedom is unlimited; their love of their fellow man is unqualified; their allegiance to our country with full understanding of its demands is without reservation.”

Sinise certainly is deserving of this high award. His efforts are absolutely remarkable and a good reminder that we can never do enough to support those who protect our freedoms. He has helped build accessible homes for Wounded Warriors.
His Lt. Dan Band tours the world with the USO to entertain our troops at home and abroad. He even helps K9s and service dogs that help serve our country and communities.

The Forest Gump star, who also has done full USO tours, raises about $30 million each year for the Gary Sinise Foundation which builds home for our wounded warriors among other charitable endeavors for our veterans.
