Dog The Bounty Hunter Angell

Last week, we reported on a shocking clip that Dr. Mehmet Oz shared from an upcoming episode showing Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman asking his son’s ex-girlfriend Moon Angell to marry him. The teaser clip left fans stunned because it has only been seven months since Dog’s beloved wife Beth Chapman passed away, and he had promised her that he would never remarry. Well that episode of “The Dr. Oz Show” finally aired yesterday and now we know the answer.

Dog The Bounty Hunter And Moon Angell Squash Engagement Rumors

Now that “The Dr. Oz Show” episode has aired, Dog and Angell are speaking out to clarify their engagement rumors. And the two say that they are just close friends. The sudden and shocking proposal was actually just a “test” from Dog to Angell, according to Page Six.

“I didn’t tell you I was going to do this, but this is a ‘Dr. Oz’ show. I think this will put a stop to a lot of this. Moon Angell, will you marry me?” Dog said in the full clip.

A clearly shocked Angell immediately shook her head and said, “What? We’re friends, Duane. I love you as a friend.”

Dog The Bounty Hunter Proposal Was A ‘Test’

Dr. Mehmet Oz quickly stepped in to say that this was a “test.”

“So now you won’t, right? You can say no, it’s alright,” Dog said.

“I can’t marry you,” Angell replied. “Right at this very moment, I don’t see you as that. I love you and Beth as my friends.”

Dog The Bounty Hunter then explained that he sees Moon Angell as one of his “dearest friends,” and that he wanted to make it clear to everyone that their relationship was strictly a platonic one.

Chapman Family Drama

Tensions boiled over within the Chapman family last month when Dog’s 32 year-old daughter Lyssa slammed both her father and Angell on social media.

“If someone who met your family by dating your brother tried to date your father after your stepmom died, what would you do?” she wrote. “If you went to your mother’s closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do? #ItsNotWhenOrWhyItsWho.”

During her appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show,” Angell explained why she had done this.

“He would smell Beth and he would go in there and sit down and cry and cry and cry,” Angell said. “He asked me, ‘Do you think that you could take Beth’s things out of the closet?’ … It was because he just couldn’t do it anymore.”

Dog agreed, saying, “So once she did it, I was like, relieved and then I walked by and it was empty, and I’m like, ‘Oh, God.’ I said ‘Moon, put some of your stuff in there.’ She said ‘No.’ I said, ‘Moon, it’s an order.’”

Clearly, Dog is still having a very hard time dealing with his wife’s passing. We can only hope that he is able to find peace and happiness again going forward.
