Dog The Bounty Hunter

Fans of Duane Chapman, aka Dog The Bounty Hunter, are in complete shock right now after a clip surfaced of him proposing to his son’s ex-girlfriend Moon Angell during a segment on “The Dr. Oz Show.” The apparent proposal comes just seven months after Dog’s beloved wife Beth Chapman passed away at the age of 51 following a battle with lung cancer.

In a new promo for Monday’s episode of “The Dr. Oz Show”, Dog The Bounty Hunter, 66, appears to ask Moon Angell, 53, to marry him, according to the Daily Mail.

“Moon Angell, will you marry me?” Dog can be seen saying as she looks back at him with a surprised expression on her face.

The clip was tweeted out by the official Twitter account of Dr. Oz himself on Tuesday night along with the caption, “A marriage proposal? After weeks of family turmoil, @DogBountyHunter and Moon Angell join me to set the record straight.”

Chapman Family Bickering Over Moon Angell

This comes after weeks of bickering among the Chapman family over Dog’s relationship with Angell, who acknowledged the family drama in the clip by saying, “I have lots of enemies right now.”

At another point in the clip, Dog is seen crying as Dr. Mehmet Oz asks him, “You were going to commit suicide?”

“I am a lot happier when she’s around,” Dog says to the talk show host.

Dog had spoken out just a few weeks ago to defend his relationship with Angell, who previously dated his son.

“Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her,” Dog told Radar. “There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad.”

Dog then went on to describe Angell as “a trustworthy and loyal friend to [him] for over 20 years” who is “experienced” with him and the family dynamic.

“She has been with my family through many ups and downs,” Dog later added. “All my children are grown and gone on their own, there’s no one left to help me!”

Lyssa Chapman Responds

Dog’s daughter “Baby Lyssa” has responded to this romance by calling Angell “disgusting” and accusing her of preying on her father during his grief.

“Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY!!” she tweeted a few weeks ago.

Now Lyssa appears to have already responded to the marriage proposal on Twitter.

When a fan responded by saying that Dog might need someone special in his life, Lyssa replied, “A need for a con artist?”

Beth Chapman Told Dog The Bounty Hunter To Never Remarry

Prior to Beth’s death back in June, she had told him that she did not want him to remarry after her passing.

“For two to three years, she knew this might happen,” Dog told Entertainment Tonight last year. “So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one.’”

When she said, “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” he promised, “I won’t.”

After all, who could take Beth’s place when she’s still with her man?

“Even though she is not physically there,” Dog said, “mentally and spiritually, she is there.”
