Country music legend Charlie Daniels eviscerated 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg this week after belittling comments the former New York City mayor made about farmers resurfaced.
Mike Bloomberg Put Down American Farmers
It all started over the weekend, when comments that Bloomberg made about farmers at a forum event in England in 2016 resurfaced. At the time, the 2020 Democrat told the crowd that he could “teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer.”
“It’s a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that,” Bloomberg said, according to Breitbart News. “Then we had 300 years of the industrial society. You put the piece of metal on the lathe, you turn the crank in the direction of the arrow, and you can have a job.”
Not stopping there, Bloomberg then claimed that farmers lack the “gray matter” that is necessary to keep up with the changing economic and technological times.
“Now comes the information economy and [it] is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different,” he said. “You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.”
Billionaire Bloomberg claims he “could teach anybody to be a farmer,” even implying that farmers don’t have the same level of “skillset” or “grey matter” as folks in tech jobs.
So demeaning, elitist, and out-of-touch it’s appalling. pic.twitter.com/Auplmdq56m

Charlie Daniels Fires Back At Bloomberg
Charlie Daniels took the snub personally and tweeted at the 2020 Democrat in response. The 83-year-old country music icon is connected to our heartland and knows the value of the American farmer. He wasn’t about to let some elitist billionaire put down the backbone of this country.
“Hey Bloomberg you know as much about farming as a hog knows about an airplane, so how are you going to teach somebody else how to do it,” Daniels wrote. “Better stay in NYC where corn comes in cans.”

Donald Trump Jr. Attacks Bloomberg
Charlie Daniels wasn’t the only person to blast Bloomberg for his despicable comments. Donald Trump Jr. got in on the action as well.
“Bloomberg wouldn’t last 3 seconds as a farmer… but like his comments on minorities, you can tell he really hates regular hardworking Americans,” Trump Jr. wrote. “He will never fight for them because he couldn’t care less about them.”

Bloomberg’s comments perfectly sum up what little regard the urban and coastal liberal elites have for the hardworking American farmers who built this country.
We’re so glad to see Charlie Daniels step up to give Mike Bloomberg a brutal dose of reality that he won’t soon forget. It’s safe to say that Bloomberg just learned the hard way that America’s heartland is not to be messed with with!
Charlie Daniels is a an American icon and a true class act. We hope he’s around to continue schooling Liberals for a very long time to come.
