Meghan McCain Praises Trump For Killing ‘Big, Bad Terrorist’ Soleimani On ‘The View’

Given the norm on ABC talk show “The View”, everyone expected liberal hosts like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg to use the program to slam President Donald Trump for killing Iranian General Qassem Soleimani on Friday. Conservative host Meghan McCain, however, was not about to let them smear Trump’s decisive action against Soleimani. Taking Monday’s segment on Iran in a very different direction.

Meghan McCain Praises Trump For Taking Out Soleimani On ‘The View’

The Daily Beast reported that while McCain has been critical of Trump at times, she had nothing but praise for his decision to take Soleimani out.

“Yesterday Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Soleimani was, quote, actively plotting against the American public and that Trump made the right decision,” McCain said. “I was actually really surprised to see things like World War III trending, just given the fact that Soleimani was responsible for over 600 American deaths.”

McCain shifted to address ABC News political director Rick Klein, who was appearing on the daytime talk show to discuss the Iranian conflict.

“Why do you think people are reacting the way that they are?” McCain asked him. “Do you think it’s just because there is this trust gap, if you will, between the President of the United States and the American public? For me, when a big, bad terrorist gets blown up, I’m happy about it.”

Klein agreed that the trust gap between Trump and the American people, which is undoubtedly widened by the bias of the liberal media, played a factor in this.

He added that another factor could be that the Trump administration has not yet explained how “imminent” the threats to America posed by Soleimani really were.

McCain Continues To Praise Trump

Undeterred by this, McCain made it clear later in the segment that she is still confused about all the flack Trump is getting for killing a terrorist. Further, pointing out that she believes other Republican presidents would have made the same move.

“Iran has been escalating their attacks for months and months,” McCain stated. “I mean, they were harassing our warships, firing rockets to American troops, orchestrated a rocket strike to killed a U.S. contractor and wounded four service members and obviously stormed the U.S. embassy.”

“I made the argument to a friend of mine yesterday that I don’t think a President Marco Rubio or President Romney would have necessarily done anything different by taking out Soleimani,” she continued. “Why do you think people are reacting this way to Trump doing this?”

Making his own bias against Trump clear, Klein said much of the backlash has to do with “the way he’s conducted himself and the fact that he’s sitting under impeachment and would have reason to distract.”

In other words, liberals refuse to give Trump credit for anything, even for killing a terrorist who had already taken the lives of hundreds of Americans.

McCain Is The Voice Of Reason On ‘The View’

Once again, McCain acted as the voice of reason on “The View” today.

We applaud her for taking control of this segment and for making sure it didn’t devolve into just another Trump-bashing session by bitter liberal women who don’t know the first thing about national security threats.

Meghan McCain understands that the world is a better and safer place for Americans everywhere without Soleimani in it. And, in killing him, there’s no telling how many lives Trump saved.

Our President and military leaders deserve  proper credit for their decisive actions. And there should be more people in the media praising him for this like McCain did.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
