CM Punk Takes Nasty Shot At The Miz, WWE Signs Top Indy Star

CM Punk Takes Nasty Shot At The Miz

CM Punk took a shot at The Miz on social media and it was a doozy. Apparently, it all stems from last night’s episode of WWE Backstage, which saw The Miz appear as a special guest.

As the show was wrapping up,  the WWE On FOX Twitter account tweeted a clip where The Miz went back and forth with Renee Young and Paige. The Miz called it the best episode of WWE Backstage and then he pressed was why.

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t ‘change the culture,’ My bad. My bad,” said The Miz.

That comment was reference to Punk’s surprise debut at the end of the November 12 episode of WWE Backstage. After debuting, Punk looked into the camera and said “It’s as simple as this: just when they think they’ve got the answers, I change the culture.”

Punk was either watching or quickly learned of what The Miz said. Punk tweeted, “Go suck a blood money covered dick in Saudi Arabia you f–king dork.” The tweet was later deleted around 2AM EST or 2 PM EST, but below is screenshot. No word if Punk opted to delete the tweet on his own or if there was pressure from FOX; who are the people that hired Punk and not WWE.

Reason For The CM Punk’s Tweet And Fans Reaction

The tweet was clearly a reference to The Miz and many WWE superstars working in Saudi Arabia, which has been heavily criticized. Clearly, Punk can be added to that list of disgruntled people about WWE’s controversial 10 year deal with Saudi Arabia.

We have not seen Punk on WWE Backstage since December, but he will return on January 21. Punk is never afraid to speak what is on his mind, so he could further elaborate on his now deleted tweet.

WWE Signs Top Indy Star

WWE has apparently signed top Indy star Mercedes Martinez according to SoCal UNCENSORED.

Fans might remember her from the Mae Young Classic, where she competed both times. She made her pro wrestling debut in 2000 and has competed for many known promotions. She has fought for Ring of Honor, Shimmer Beyond Wrestling and many others. Also, she worked All Elite Wrestling’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out.

No word on when she will report to NXT.

Joe Lisnow

The lineage of pro wrestling dates back centuries, tying the world together through the art of storytelling. After nearly 30 years of watching, now Joe has the chance to report the news about men and women competing inside a 20-foot by 20-foot ring.
