We have our Christmas list at the ready, so now it is time to ask the almighty Vince McMahon Santa for our Christmas gifts. So, without further ado, here is what we would like for our WWE Christmas.
Charlotte Flair does everything with passion and with full energy, so it is rather sad to see her take a backseat in terms of storylines.
Dear Santa Vince, we would love to see Charlotte get a bigger role in 2020. She has been good this year, so she certainly deserves it.
Dear Santa Vince, we would love a couple of fan dream bookings in the year to come. I’m talking about the die-hard fan dream bookings.
Aleister Black versus Buddy Murphy was an excellent start, so we would love to see more. Here are some of the ones we have in mind:
There have been some rumors that Edge could return at the Royal Rumble, so this is one of our biggest Christmas wishes this year.
We have seen some small appearances for Edge, but we would love some more.
So, Santa Vince, if this is at all possible, we would love to see Edge in the WWE again.
The storyline between Lana, Bobby Lashley and Rusev has been a more in-depth version of the storylines we have been getting over the past couple of years.
While not everyone liked the theme of their storyline, it is a prime example of the types of stories that should be worked on. If we could get some more advanced storylines in the coming year, we would be very happy indeed.
For an example, Santa Vince, it could be a good idea to look at Lucha Underground. Even though the show does not run continuously, they do have soap-opera-like storylines that are out of this world!
Maybe 2020 could be a great time to experiment with storylines like that? Isn’t that what pro wrestling is all about?
Dear Santa Vince, the WWE has made some strides with the women’s division. However, not everything is as it should.
In fact, the focus lies pretty much with one person at the moment, even though there are many female athletes that deserve just as much attention.
So, can we get some additional focus on Charlotte, Natalya, and some of the lesser used women such as Dana Brooke, Zelina Vega, and others?
Brock Lesnar does not really need a title. In fact, he is very much considered as a veteran.
Even though he has tried to make more appearances, we believe the title should be on new talent such as Aleister Black.
Why not build a new superstar with the title and give Lesnar something else to do?
Dear Santa Vince, we miss the days where wrestlers were larger than life. John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, and Triple H are just some examples. Why can’t we have such stars again?
There are several wrestlers on the roster that are absolutely brilliant and could be made in such a manner. Of course, they must get the attention they deserve. Here are some of our personal favourites for the men’s division:
And for the women’s division:
Dear Santa Vince, some things have become really predictable in the WWE. Whenever Brock Lesnar returns, we already know that he will carry the title for some time to come. This is just one example of the many predictable things in the WWE.
Predictability is one of the things that makes people tune out. That being said, the WWE has done its best to be less predictable this year. But, we would like to see more surprises in the year to come – whether it is an unexpected title win for a younger talent or a surprise return. That would be a wonderful Christmas present.
We adore Kevin Owens here at Ringside Intel. In fact, we believe that his new Stone Cold Steve Austin persona is exactly what the company needs, so we hope he turns that up in 2020.
Kevin Owens could be the first in a long line of larger than life superstars, if the WWE is willing to create them. As Owens is a clear fan favorite at the moment, it could only mean good things for World Wrestling Entertainment.
The match between Kofi Kingston and Brock Lesnar left many fans furious Santa Vince. It is not about Kofi losing the title, but the way he lost it. Therefore, we would like a rematch between Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston in the year to come.
If Kofi takes the title again, it could also make some room for new feuds with younger talent.
Even though there are some great tag teams, we really feel the absence of The Usos. We also miss Naomi, who has not been seen for quite some time.
There is a rumor that the Usos might return to NXT. Considering the absence of many tag teams on NXT, this might not be a bad idea.
We sure hope you listen to us Santa Vince and give us these presents!
