Comedian Whitney Cummings just revealed in a new interview that she was reported to Human Resources by an intern last year simply for saying “Merry Christmas.”
Cummings Got In Trouble Just For Saying “Merry Christmas”
During an interview with late night host Conan O’Brien, Cummings started talking about how stressful the holiday season can be. After saying that she finds shopping for gifts to be the most stressful part of the holidays, Cummings revealed that she got in trouble a year ago just for saying “Merry Christmas.”
“Last year, I was working on a TV show, got in trouble with human resources for saying ‘Merry Christmas’ to an intern,” Cummings said.
“Is that true?” a stunned O’Brien asked her.
“That’s true. I was leaving… I was like, ‘bye, guys. Merry Christmas.’ Like just a formality, what you would say,” Cummings explained to him. “I come back, like, June 6th. H.R. calls me and they’re like, ‘hey, we need to talk to you. One of the interns is pissed off that you said ‘Merry Christmas.'”
Cummings’ Greeting Was Just A “Formality”
According to IMDB, Whitney Cummings was the executive producer of ABC’s reboot of “Roseanne” for 9 episodes in 2018. Cummings went on to say that her greeting was just a “formality,” adding “I don’t even care how your Christmas was.”

O’Brien responded by reminding Cummings that just saying “Merry Christmas” could offend or trigger someone “in these times.” Cummings then said that she asked the Human Resources official what she could have said. But HR informed her that the intern was “agnostic.”
“I was like, no, no, no, no, no. You do not get to do that,” Cummings said. “Because had I known that this person was agnostic, that would mean we were in a relationship, like, that would mean we were intimately connected.”
“I should not know who believes in God and who doesn’t,” Cummings continued. “I also can’t guess either, you know?”

The War On Christmas Rages On
Unfortunately, what happened to Cummings comes as no surprise given the fact that liberal snowflakes have waged a war on Christmas in recent years. While liberal snowflakes are offended by everything these days, nothing “triggers” them more than Christmas. And, they won’t be satisfied until everything symbolic of the Christian holiday is erased forever.
This serves as a reminder that those of us who love Christmas need to defend the holiday with everything we have. If we don’t, liberals may just end up winning the war on Christmas.
I don’t know about you, but a world without Christmas is not one that I want to live in.
