WWE Re-Signs Several Superstars, Lars Sullivan Gets Bad News

The New Day, Street Profits Receive New Multi-Year WWE Deals

Several WWE superstars received early Christmas presents, as the promotion signed The New Day and the Street Profits to new, multi-year contracts.

In a segment on The Satin Sheet, it was reported that all three members of The New Day, including Big E and Xavier Woods, to five-year contracts. WrestleNewz previously reported that Kofi Kingston also agreed to the same deal.

Currently, Kingston and Big E are the reigning SmackDown tag team champions, marking the fifth reign for the trio. It is a record fifth title run for Big E.

New Day first debuted in the WWE in 2014 and then winning their first WWE tag team titles a year later. After that, Kingston has captured the WWE championship, as the group has also won the Raw tag team belts twice.

The deal for Street Profits was not made known. In conclusion, it is also believed to be for multi-year deals for both Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

Ford and Dawkins made their WWE debuts in NXT in 2016, heading to Raw in July of this past year. Also, they competed in Evolve between 2018-19, winning the tag team titles.

While in NXT, Ford and Dawkins captured the tag team titles.

Lars Sullivan Still Sidelined For Extended Future

Despite appearing to be fully recovered from a knee injury, Lars Sullivan is still not expected back on WWE television for the next several months.

In fact, according to a report by Fightful Select, Sullivan will not be back until summer at the earliest.

The 31-year-old Sullivan was trained at the WWE Performance Center by Bobby Lashley. But, he made his debut in April of this past year, attacking Kurt Angle before continuing with attacks on the likes of R-Truth and The Hardy Boyz.

Then during the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up, Sullivan was drafted to SmackDown. However, he rarely appeared.

Later, Sullivan was fined $100,000 for comments made on a message board before he joined the WWE, and also saw a knee injury force him to the sidelines in the first place.
