Kid Rock Oprah

Liberals have been out to get Kid Rock ever since he began vocally supporting President Donald Trump. After his latest misstep involving a drunken rant, it seems that liberals may have finally gotten their opportunity to take him down for good.

Some people claimed he was racist for ranting against Oprah Winfrey. Hence, he won’t be renewing his licensing agreement for the Made In Detroit Restaurant.

Now, let’s take a look at what he had to say.

Kid Rock Loses His Restaurant

Kid Rock confirmed that he would not be renewing his licensing agreement for the restaurant in the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit in a lengthy Facebook post.

“I appreciate all who have patronized our place and still have much love for the City of Detroit and the people/organizations that I have helped there for years, black, white, whatever, but learned long ago, go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated,” Kid Rock wrote. “I guess the millions of dollars I pumped into that town was not enough. I will let the NAN network and others go ahead and take the wheel now. Good luck.”

Kid went on to defend his reputation in the face of the attacks he has received.

“I may be guilty of being a loud-mouth jerk at times, but trying to label me racist is a joke, and actually only does a disservice to the black community, which I have supported my entire life, by trying to alienate myself and many others,” he said.

He Drunkenly Blasts Oprah

He made the announcement days after a clip went viral showing a clearly intoxicated Kid Rock bashing Oprah at his Honky Tonk bar in Nashville.

“Oprah Winfrey is like ‘Hey, I want to get some white women to believe in this [expletive],” he yelled, according to Yahoo News. “And if you say that, you’re like, ‘Hey, well I’m pretty sure Kid Rock is a racist.’ I’m like, okay fine. [Expletive].”

“I’m not a bad guy,” he added. “I don’t like Oprah Winfrey or Joy Behar. They’re like, you’re [expletive] racist, I’m like, you’re [expletive] weird. You call your people, I’ll call mine.”

Kid Clarifies His Oprah Comments

He later explained his disdain for Oprah on Twitter.

“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show… I said f*** that and her. End of story,” he wrote.

Refusing to back down despite the backlash, he later tweeted, “All this BS going on has just go my blood pumpin’ and is only more songwriting fuel for a new record and tour in 2021. I am beholden to no one, no corporate sponsors, no label and I am gonna go the f*** off!” He added in another tweet, “You haters better be shaking in your boots.”

Kid Rock is one of the few entertainers who has been brave enough to be open about his support of President Donald Trump, so it’s not surprising that liberals have taken the opportunity presented by this minor misstep to take him down. Hopefully, Kid Rock can rise above this and continue to make the music that his fans love.
