Joy Reid let loose on Thanksgiving in a bizarre rant where she called the holiday “problematic.” The MSNBC host then went on to openly mock supporters of President Trump as she offered her liberal viewers advice on how to deal with them at the Thanksgiving table.
Joy Reid Snubs Thanksgiving
“We are just over two weeks away from one of the most beloved American food holidays. Thanksgiving, where problematic actual history meets delicious cuisine,” Reid began, according to Fox News “and many will be heading home to spend time with family and friends, eat a little too much and perhaps engage in a dreaded, contentious political debate with your cranky Uncle Roscoe when he starts yelling, ‘read the transcript!’ at the dinner table between bites of turkey and pumpkin pie.”
Not stopping there, Reid assured her audience that she would tell them “everything you need to understand about impeachment”. Her “advice” would help her viewers “easily explain” the ongoing political firestorm to “Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol.”
Reid Mocks Trump Supporters
“Here’s a hint: Do not worry about trying to explain the cast of characters… or the very overused term, ‘quid pro quo.’ Most people can’t say it, spell it or understand it,” Reid added condescendingly.
“What we’re actually talking about here is not a pithy Latin phrase. It’s something a lot simpler: bribery and extortion.”
“Beyond the whistleblower and over 100 hours of testimony backing up that fact, Donald Trump admitted to it, and even released edited notes from his call with the Ukrainian president — which by the way is not a transcript — that actually prove he did it! Even Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol ought to understand that,” the MSNBC host continued.

This rant came two months after the White House released a summary of the infamous July phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Democrats have been trying to use this call to impeach Trump, as they claim that the president tried to pressure Zelensky to launch an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine.
Trump and his supporters, however, argue that nothing illegal happened on the call.
Reid’s Homophobic Past
Reid, who has always been an outspoken critic of Trump, has had her fair share of “problematic” scandals herself.
In December of 2017, a series of homophobic blog posts on her now-defunct website resurfaced. Reid initially denied writing the posts and claimed that she had been hacked. But quickly became clear to many that this was a lie and that she had indeed written the posts herself.
Nevertheless, as a darling of the liberal media, Reid was allowed to keep her job at MSNBC. Despite her homophobic transgression.
