A mother of three from New Zealand, Lucy Rose Jaine, has just come forward to say that she has been hit with death threats for posing for photos with animals she killed despite the fact that she uses the meat to feed her family.
Mother Hunts To Feed Her Family
Fox News reported that Lucy Rose Jaine, 29, explained that she first started hunting when she met her partner, and she completely fell in love with the practice. She goes out hunting with her family five to eight times a month, and they typically hunt for wild pigs as well as deer, goats, wallabies and other animals.
Lucy said that she prefers to hunt the meat that she uses to feed her family herself because she does not want to rely on factory-farmed meat.
“I like that we can teach our children how to hunt their own food,” Lucy said.
Lucy went on to add that “hunting wild meat is ideal, organic and sustainable” and that, in contrast with animals being raised on factory farms, the animals she hunts are “living a good life.”
Since she mainly hunts pigs, the hunter said she’s actually helping local farmers with wild pig problems in the area.
“It’s free, it’s fun and it helps the farmers,” she said.

Lucy Rose Jaine Receives Death Threats
Lucy enjoys sharing photos from her hunting excursions online, but doing this has caused her to be hit with some serious backlash that has taken a disturbing turn.
”I’ve had a few death threats from people who just don’t have any experience with hunting,” she said.
“Or maybe they are against animal cruelty. But I don’t take it to heart. I just tell myself, ‘That person must be going through something in their own life and I can’t judge what I don’t understand.’ We make sure we respect the animal in the process.”
Many of the comments on Lucy’s photos of her posing with her kills are indeed hateful.
“Imagine posing with the animals you’ve just slaughtered,” one social media user commented on a photo of Jaine carrying a wild pig. “Pls can someone do this to her children?”
“Nothing funny about posing with dead animals,” another angry user added. “This is why you receive hate, the kill shots, there’s just no need for them, and perhaps don’t go running to the papers crying about it too!”

Lucy Rose Jaine Turns The Other Cheek
Lucy, however, is not taking the atrocious threats to heart.
“Some guy just said, ‘I hope you die.’ I obviously didn’t respond. I hope he finds happiness,” Lucy said. “Be kind, everyone on this earth is especially doing their best.”
God bless Lucy for taking the high road in the face of the ridiculous hate she is receiving. We could all learn a lot from the way she is living her life!
