Gary Sinise has been giving back to veterans and active duty members of our military for over twenty five years and he’s not about to stop anytime soon. And he really draws in a crowd.

The 64-year-old Forrest Gump star’s Lt. Dan Band performed in front of thousands at a sold out concert in a retirement community that has the country’s largest concentration of veterans living outside of a military base.

Gary Sinise Performs For Veterans At The Villages

The Villages in Florida is a special place that many veterans call home. That’s why Gary Sinise went there. He wanted to entertain these veterans and personally thank them for their service to our nation.

The Apollo 13 star, who also has done full USO tours, raises about $30 million each year for the Gary Sinise Foundation which builds home for our wounded warriors among other charitable endeavors for our veterans.

Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band were the hottest ticket in town last weekend when they performed in front of a sell-out crowd at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square at The Villages in Orlando, Florida. Veterans Services

Gary Sinise wants more Americans to step up and honor and help our veterans. After all, we owe our freedom to those who served in the military. We cannot properly repay that that debt of gratitude.

“If every person in every neighborhood around the country took a little bit of responsibility for patting these folks on the back, all the problems that we hear about with regards to veterans not getting services or falling through the cracks would disappear,” the “CSI:NY” actor told People.

“If citizens would look at their freedom providers in a little bit different way.”

The concert at the Villages was a huge success and one thing is certain. Gary Sinise will continue rocking it out for our veterans and their families.

These Florida Veterans aren’t the only ones benefiting from Gary Sinise’s patriotism and gratitude. America’s heroes of the 4-legged variety are now included too.
