Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville has been a popular WWE superstar, Total Diva, and a proud member of the LGBT community. Deville aims to be an inspiration, something we have reported on a little while back.

Deville is looking to play a bigger role in WWE singles competition, despite being a member of the tag team Fire and Desire alongside Mandy Rose. In her bid to chase a bigger role in the company, she has now asked Vince McMahon for a favor.

Sonya Deville Wants To Go To Raw

On her Twitter account, Deville begged Vince McMahon to let her cross brands for just one day. She has her eyes set on none other than Becky Lynch, who she wants to put in her place.

Even though Deville has become a strong member on the roster as one part of Fire and Desire, she still has to become more prominent as a singles competitor. Her appearances in Total Divas have made Sonya more prolific and we hope it does wonders for her future wrestling career.

Lynch is not the only WWE superstar Sonya wants to have a fight with. She recently also started an online twitter feud with Lacey Evans, another female superstar who is getting lots of attention at the moment.

Becky Lynch Names Deville As The Next Breakout Star

Becky Lynch

Much like Deville, Lynch spent a long time on the mid-card and had to fight for every opportunity given to her. Fortunately, she has now broken through as one of the company’s top stars and became one of the first women to headline WrestleMania, alongside Charlotte and Ronda Rousey.

Lynch has nothing but praise for Sonya Deville, as she named her as the future breakout star. I would have to agree with Becky. Sonya is interesting and she has a clear passion for wrestling and to make it as a top star.

Singles Or Tag Team Future

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Sonya and Mandy had some moderate success with their tag team Fire and Desire. In the beginning, Deville was heavily overshadowed by Mandy, but this has changed recently as Sonya has come out of her shell a little more.

So, what is the better option for Deville at this point? Difficult to say really, I have enjoyed Fire and Desire tremendously. On the other hand, I would love to see both women in singles competition too. Maybe there is an opportunity for both women to work both?

The women’s tag team division is really thin at the moment, as there is only one title to compete for. When they are not in the tag team title picture, there is certainly an opportunity for both women to shine in singles competition. I would not pull them apart as a tag team, but I would not rule them out for singles titles either. There is plenty of feuds for both women to have, so it is only a matter of time before the WWE see this value too.

What is your opinion on Deville and would you like to see a match between her and Lynch? Or, do you believe she should remain in the tag team division?
