If you collapsed in disappointment yesterday after Nate Diaz announced he’s no longer heading to New York City for UFC 244, on account of flagged, drug test, there is hope…

Diaz rocks the MMA world

The Stockton star dropped jaws and prompted gasps on Tuesday by reporting that drug test he’s taken has come back for “elevated levels”, and as result, Diaz said he’s not going to NYC to fight Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz, who has denied ever knowingly taking performance enhancing drugs, is supposed to fight Masvidal in the main event of the November 2nd card.

Diaz is reportedly still cleared to fight

According to a follow up report from ESPN, however, Diaz has not been suspended yet by USADA. Sources have also told the outlet that Diaz has reportedly tested positive for trace amounts of a prohibited selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM). The report notes that Neil Magny also recently tested positive for trace amounts of SARM, and because it was believed the result was likely due to tainted supplements, he was not suspended.

So, we’ll see what happens here. More news to come.
