Hollywood star Jon Voight just spoke out against how the Democratic Party has evolved claiming modern Democrats are out of touch with everyday Americans. The “Ray Donovan” star, and father of Angelina Jolie, went on to praise President Donald Trump, going so far as to predict that Trump will win again in 2020.
Democrats Are Out Of Touch
Fox News reported that Voight, one of the few openly Republican actors in Hollywood, said that he is proud to support Trump and that modern Democrats have lost touch with who the American people really are.
“I’m a big supporter of our president, and I feel that what has happened with the Democratic party is something that I’d never thought I’d see happen. This is not the Democratic party of John Kennedy, who I was in support of. They had many heroes in the Democratic party. They have no heroes today. There’s a lot of slander and name-calling and lying that’s going on and passing itself off as news. This is my opinion. That’s where I stand and I don’t like it. Somebody has to stand up and say that and punch back at that nonsense. This is not America. The Democratic Party doesn’t represent America anymore.”

Voight, 80, went on to slam Democrats for their push to impeach Trump, who he predicts will win the presidency again in 2020.
“Donald Trump is going to win the presidency once again and this is going to be proven to be nonsense just as the two years with [the Mueller report] and millions of dollars wasted and has taken those people in the House who are Democrats away from doing the business of the people,” the actor said.

Jon Voight Blasts Hollywood Liberals
Not stopping there, Voight blasted Hollywood liberals. Like Eric McCormack and Debra Messing who wanted to blacklist conservatives in the industry. McCormack and Messing called upon The Hollywood Reporter to publish a list of Hollywood Trump donors. They believe celebrities who support Trump deserve to be blacklisted by the rest of the entertainment industry.

“The left was so concerned about the Hollywood Ten during the ‘50s but they are not at all concerned with the blacklist today and people losing jobs. They are very outspoken about it and they attack anybody who is for Trump or who is for the Republican Party. The Democratic Party has been undermined and overtaken, and I wish it could recoup itself and that there could be people who would stand up for the Democratic Party that we have known and we have counted on and there are not anybody in that group who is standing up and protecting it. They are falling in.”
More Conservative Celebrities Need To Speak Out
Voight is one of only a handful of actors brave enough to be open about his conservative views. I applaud him for putting his own career at risk to defend President Trump.
Though it can’t be easy, I hope that more conservative Hollywood actors will follow his lead. Anyone who supports the President should speak out.. God bless Voight for letting the closed-minded liberals of Hollywood know that they can’t get away with silencing conservatives.
