UFC Copenhagen: Ion Cutelaba Pounds Out Khalil Rountree

Ion Cutelaba reminded the MMA world today that he remains a light-heavyweight on the rise, as the “The Hulk” quickly finished Khalil Rountree at UFC Copenhagen.

Round one

Both fighters came out conservatively with little volume. At around the four-minute mark, however, Rountree pounded in a kick to the body and Cutelaba countered with a takedown. Rountree got back to his feet and the two exchanged elbows. Cutelaba fired off a nice Superman punch, scored with another TD, and pounded in a couple of elbows from the top. Rountree briefly got back to his feet, but Cutelaba swept him to the floor and continued to fire down shots from above. After a barrage of vicious, vicious, punches and elbows, the fight was called. Impressive win for “The Hulk”.
