ONE Championship’s “Century” card will take place right around the corner on October 13th, and the stacked card will see former UFC champ Demetrious Johnson take on Danny Kingad in the finals of the flyweight grand prix.
Johnson (29-3-1) made his ONE debut this past March and his bout with Yuya Wakamatsu also served as a quarterfinal for the promotion’s flyweight tourney. Johnson won that fight via submission, and advanced to face Tatsumitsu Wada in August. The renowned fighter took that bout via decision.
Kingad (11-1), meanwhile, took on Senzo Ikeda in the opening round of the GP in March, and he advanced to the semis with a decision win. In his August, semifinal bout, Kingad got by Reece McLaren with a split decision victory.
Recently ONE posted the video below, which features Johnson and Kingad reflecting on their path to the finale.
Here are the cards for ONE’s massive, “Century” event, which will go down in Tokyo, Japan.
