Matt Riddle Has Heat With NXT Wrestlers

Matt Riddle Not Happy With Fellow NXT Peers, Tommaso Ciampa Fires Back

Before Matt Riddle joined NXT, he had somewhat of a reputation for doing his own thing. He was finding success in the UFC, but after failing several drug tests for marijuana and making controversial comments about hitting children, he was let go. He spent some time on the Indy scene and eventually WWE softened their stance and allowed him to sign with the promotion.

We have seen Riddle remain outspoken, particularly when he bad-mouthed Goldberg for his performance at Super ShowDown. Now, it seems like Riddle is finding more trouble thanks to social media. Apparently, some fellow NXT wrestlers would not give Riddle a ride and he decided to call them out with a video on Twitter.

“This message is for all the pieces of trash, hags and whatever other word you want to call them, that couldn’t give me a ride today because their cars were too full with so much talent,” said Riddle. “I hate you all. You’re garbage; bye.”

Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who is recovery from neck surgery, did not take kindly to Riddle’s antics. He retweeted the video and had a pretty direct message for Riddle; who then responded.

Riddle has been impressive in NXT, but he does seem to rub people the wrong way. Hopefully, the matter can be resolved and Riddle does not find himself in a similar situation like with the UFC.

Update On Kacey Catanzaro’s WWE Future

We noted how NXT’s Kacey Catanzaro was preparing to leave due to a back problem. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Catanzaro was still under contract with WWE as of a few days ago. They also noted how there was backstage talk last week that she would be leaving, but there has been no final word.

The former American Ninja Warrior star joined WWE in January 2018 and her biggest moment was during this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble Match as her freakish ability made for some memorable spots. Think Kofi Kingston, but even cooler.

With Catanzaro’s background and popularity, WWE does not want to lose her. Catanzaro has not commented on the rumors about her leaving and remains active on social media.
