Latest On WWE Changes, NXT – USA Network Problem

There are big changes coming to WWE programming and that includes several announcers moving. Also, NXT is already having trouble on the USA Network.

Update On Current Changes Coming To WWE TV

As noted throughout the week, there are big changes coming to WWE’s brands. In. particular, the announce teams will be undergoing a dramatic change as SmackDown moves to Fox and NXT joins the USA Network.

For a lengthy time, RAW and SmackDown have featured three people calling the action. Now, Michael Cole and Corey Graves seem headed for SmackDown. On RAW, Tom Phillips will be the lead person with Byron Saxton and/or Vic Joseph joining him.

The changes could go into affect in early October as many brands move around and the possibly that 205 Live is gone. 205 Live is currently called by Aiden English (who could return to the ring) and Dino Maddin, who just started his new gig this week. NXT is currently called by Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix and now supposedly Nigel McGuinness.

Fox has lots invested in WWE and that includes a new live show that will air on Tuesdays. Renee Young has been rumored for that spot and WrestleVotes noted that it will air live from Los Angles with Booker T also hosting.

NXT’s USA Network Debut Runs Into Trouble With Suits

Next week will be huge for NXT, as they join the USA Network. The show is scheduled for two hours, but it appears that the final season of Suits will cause some problems as the second hour of NXT is set for the WWE Network.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Garrett Gonzales mentioned how Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain in a No DQ Match will be moved to the second hour. We are still waiting to hear about other matches WWE is working on.

Once October 2 rolls around, NXT will be airing live from the USA Network as they face competition from the unnamed All Elite Wrestling show that will air on TNT.
