Dog the Bounty Hunter

Dog The Bounty Hunter, aka Duane Chapman, was rushed to the hospital over the weekend. His wife Beth passed away in June at the age of 51 after a battle with cancer. While it was at first reported that Dog had been hospitalized due to an emergency heart condition, doctors have thankfully since ruled out a heart attack.

Dog Is Rushed To Hospital

Daily Mail reported that Dog, 66, was hospitalized for stress and high blood pressure. His friends and family are reportedly worried about the reality television star. It’s believed that Beth’s passing is what brought on the stress and blood pressure spike.

“Doctors performed a bunch of tests and say the episode over the weekend that landed Dog in the hospital appears to be stress and blood pressure-related,” TMZ reported. “But, thankfully, doctors are confident it was not a full-blown heart attack. They performed an angiogram and it was normal. Dog’s family is worried about him. They say he has had trouble handling the stress associated with Beth’s death, a subsequent burglary and various other issues.”

Dog was reportedly released from the hospital sometime on Monday and is now recovering at home. A representative for Dog took to Twitter to confirm his hospitalization when it first happened.

“I can confirm Dog is under doctor’s care and is resting comfortably,” the rep wrote. “Thank you for all your well wishes – keep ’em coming.”

Dog Grieves For Beth

Dog has previously been open about the difficult time he’s having dealing with his wife’s death.

“When she was with me, I would say, ‘Get in there right now cause someday maybe she won’t be here,’” Dog confessed last month. “I would pick her kleenexes up off the floor and say, ‘someday these Kleenexes won’t be here.’ Now when I go in there and they’re not there I’m like ‘I told myself, so it’s okay. I told myself so.’ So I kind of prepared myself whether she prepared it or not to, you know, see what it could’ve been like.”

“Never did I think it’d be this bad,” he added of losing his wife.

Dog Needs Our Prayers

Losing a spouse is a difficult experience for everyone. It’s especially hard for someone who was as in love with his wife as Dog was with Beth. While it is obviously extremely hard, Dog needs to remember that Beth would want him to go on with his life and to be happy and healthy. We can only hope and pray that this health setback does not get any worse for Dog, and that he is able to find some peace in the coming months.
