In a new interview, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger insists that President Donald Trump is in love with him.

In a new interview, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger bizarrely claimed that President Donald Trump is in love with him.

Deadline reported that in the interview, Schwarzenegger discussed Trump’s criticism of his own poorly rated stint as host of ABC’s “The Apprentice.”

Schwarzenegger: “He’s In Love With Me”

“He’s in love with me. That’s the reality of it. With Trump, he wants to be me. I don’t think he fears me,” Schwarzenegger said. “But I remember that in the old days when we went to the wrestling matches, the way he admired people with bodies, and the way they would jump around in the ring, and to perform physical stunts and stuff like that — he had great admiration for that.”

“He asked me, how do you do that, with the movies? I mean, it’s so believable,” The Terminator star added. “He drilled down to specific questions that fascinated him. It was about How do you sell something? Like, a scene. How do you go and act out a scene so that I get affected emotionally? He was fascinated by that. How do you do this when you do interviews – that you penetrate through it and you then are totally believable?”

Donald Trump Bashes Arnold

Though Schwarzenegger is a Republican, he did not support Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Instead, Schwarzenegger supported John Kasich in the Republican Primaries and backed Hillary Clinton in the general election. Early in 2017, Trump fired back at Schwarzenegger. Blasting him on Twitter for the low ratings he garnered while hosting ABC’s “The Apprentice.”

“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT. So much for being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1,” Trump tweeted. “But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.”

Schwarzenegger Wants To “Smash Trump’s Face”

Schwarzenegger said afterwards that he wanted to “smash Trump’s face” over the argument.

All Schwarzenegger accomplished with his new interview was showing how self-centered he really is himself. Nobody in their right mind would think that Trump is “in love” with Schwarzenegger, or even that he’s obsessed with the star in any way. Trump is far too busy leading our country and making it great again to care what some has-been actor/politician has to say about him.

Sit down, Arnold, because nobody cares about what you have to say about Trump.
