The Undertaker Allegedly Signs ‘Lifetime Contract’ With The WWE

While the WWE is trying to keep its superstars by offering them amazing deals, The Undertaker allegedly received the best deal of them all. While this story comes from The Wrestling Observer and should be taken with a grain of salt, the concept is quite interesting.

Lifetime Contract For The Undertaker?

Dave Meltzer from The Wrestling Observer reports that The Undertaker has signed a ‘lifetime contract’ with the WWE. According to reports, the contract does not force The Deadman to perform for life, but it is a deal for life. So, for as long as The Undertaker wants to wrestle, he can do so within the WWE.

Interestingly, the new deal was signed around the time The Deadman cancelled his appearance at Starrcast, where he was scheduled to appear. If the new contract is the reason for him pulling out of the event, it could mean that Taker does have some stipulations in his contract; this may include no appearances at other wrestling promotions. During a time where AEW is posing a danger to the WWE, it is certainly not a bad move to make.

Amazing Comeback Match At Extreme Rules

The match between Goldberg and The Undertaker was highly criticised by fans, even though neither man has anything to prove to the wrestling world. They are both veterans in their own right and should be respected by the business. Nevertheless, it did not stop some cruel and unnecessary comments online.

Taker did get his revenge on the doubters though. At Extreme Rules, Taker looked in incredibly shape and put on one of the best matches of the night alongside Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and Shane McMahon. So, even though Taker is no longer in the shape of his younger years, he certainly does not have to bow down to the younger generation.

So, how should the WWE move forward with The Undertaker? If Taker is willing to wrestle, why not let him? Of course, I would give him plenty of time to recuperate between appearances, as any wrestling match is extremely hard on the body. As you get a little older, I can imagine things do not snap back as much and as easy as they used to. The WWE can book Undertaker for appearances and major events, but I would not put him on Raw or SmackDown on a regular basis, at least not for minor matches. The travelling schedule of the WWE is grueling enough, let alone having to put on a lot of matches. If anyone deserves a veteran deal, it is not Brock Lesnar, It is the Undertaker. I don’t think any fan will disagree with me there.

What do you think? Do you still want to see Taker in matches? Are you excited about this new deal? How would you incorporate him into the WWE of today? Let us know your opinion!
