Shawn Michaels Turns Down Dream Match

– There are so many dream matches that never get fulfilled due to circumstances out of the fans hands. Even if the wrestlers have dream matches they wish for and a common name mentioned is WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. AJ Styles proposed the idea of a match with Michaels, who turned down the idea.

“I asked Shawn [about a match] and he said ‘No.’ That’s on Shawn, guys,” said Styles during a WWE Now segment. “I can’t do anything about that. I would love to opportunity to do that [match]. But I get where he’s coming from too. It’s one of those things where, if you say you’re gonna retire — Now, granted, he had a match after his retirement, one [match] — but I understand not really wanting to do it. When I retire, I want to [stay] retired too.”

Styles is talking about the controversial Jewel Crown event from Saudi Arabia, where Michaels came to of retirement to team with Triple H against the Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker & Kane). Michaels & Triple H won, with the latter getting injured early on. That was back in November 2018 and there has been no word of Michaels competing again.

– While there are many names that would like to wrestle Michals one more time or the for very first time, Styles has to be a frontrunner. Even though Michaels is not in his prime, he would deliver with Styles.

According to F4WOnline, NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm is dealing with an undisclosed injury. There is no word if Storm will able to compete at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on August 31 against Kay Lee Ray.

Storm was pulled from a wXw show over SummerSlam weekend and we now why. It has been a crazy year for Storm, filled with ups and downs, but hopefully the injury is not anything major as the younger superstar is one of the most popular names on NXT UK brand.
