Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Family Involved in Private Plane Crash

NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. escaped death on Thursday when his plane crashed. His wife and daughter and the family dog were also on the plane that ended up on fire near the Elizabethton Municipal Airport, in Carter County, Tennessee.

The Earnhardts Escaped The Fiery Plane Crash

The Earnhardts (including their dog) escaped, as did the pilot and co-pilot. The retired NASCAR driver ended up at the hospital where remarkably he was released with minor injuries. Video from the scene is proof that this family is tremendously lucky.

“I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash in Bristol TN this afternoon,” Dale’s sister Kelley tweeted to fans. “Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding.”

The plane ran off the end of the runway and ended up in flames. The FAA is investigating the crash that remarkably everyone survived. The Earnhardts have expressed appreciation for those who assisted and prayed for the family during this very close call. Of course, the Earnhardt family is no stranger to tragedy. In 2001, the family patriarch Dale Earnhardt was killed on the final lap of the Daytona 500. It seems the third-generation NASCAR driver and his family had a guardian angel looking out for them on Thursday when their plane crashed and burst into flames. The video below shows Earnhardt being treated at the scene. Looking at the charred plane, it’s unbelievable that everyone escaped.

After news came out that the Earnhardts were safe, NASCAR fans showed their gratitude and sense of humor by sharing a meme claiming Hillary Clinton was behind the car crash. NASCAR is well known as a sport that draws in conservatives and the tongue in cheek meme drew some chuckles during the week that conspiracy theories arose that Hillary and Bill were involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide.
