AEW - WWE Wedding + Former World Champion A Free Agent

AEW – WWE Wedding

-As the professional wrestling landscape continues to change, we will see some rather unique relationships. We already have a WWE commentator (Renee Young) married to All Elite Wrestling’s biggest free agent acquisition thus far (Jon Moxley, the former Dean Ambrose).

Over the weekend, there was yet another AEW Superstar marrying a WWE Superstar.

WWE Superstar, and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Peyton Royce married AEW’s Shawn Spears (formerly known as Tye Dillinger). It was well-known that the two were dating and engaged, and Royce was supportive of her then-fiancee during the AEW PPV debut earlier in the year.

There is a lot of wrestling-related wedding news coming in nowadays. Last week, WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins got engaged, which means that will surely be something to watch as well.

WrestleNewz offers congratulations to the happy couple.

Former World Champion A Free Agent

-Free agents in professional wrestling are hot commodities today. It wasn’t all that long ago that the choices were more limited-WWE, Japan, Impact and some of the higher indy promotions-and where you went largely depended on what schedule you sought, and if you were willing to take the pay linked to that tough, or not so tough, schedule.

That changed, of course, earlier in 2019 when All Elite Wrestling became official. Now, AEW is challenging WWE (and winning) for many big names.

There is a former world champion who is a bit of a free agent, and it’s going to be interesting to see where he goes. That free agent? Lance Storm.

Storm made a small bit of news earlier this year when he shut down his wrestling school. Pro Wrestling Insider confirms that the move was not related to Storm going to work for Impact full-time as an agent. In fact, Storm will not be working for that promotion moving forward.

It would seem to indicate that Storm is eyeing either WWE or AEW for his next big gig. While Storm might not be the flashiest name, he would be a strong hire as he has lots to pass on, and can surely still be a factor.

Looking at things from here, this screams All Elite, but that remains to be confirmed.
