X-Pac Retires

– Wrestling veteran and WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman (X-Pac) has retired from in-ring competition. He discussed the decision on his X-Pac 12360 podcast.

“By the way, I’m f—ing done wrestling,” said Waltman. “I’m done. I’m not saying I’m never gonna have another match, but yeah I decided. The WrestleMania [35] weekend show, myself, Hurricane [Helms] and Jushin “Thunder” Liger, the six-man, that’s it. That was it. I’m f—ing done.”

Still, Waltman seems open to returning with a few string attached, namely a rising NXT superstar.

“If I have a match in WWE on like WrestleMania or […] I’ll f—ing, NXT Takeover, actually,” said Waltman. “I’m more interested in having a match on a show like that. It would mean more to me. Maybe, I’ll team with Matt Riddle. Maybe, a six-man so I can have a little more protection.”

Waltman should be on RAW as WWE might have a major DX segment planned for RAW Reunion. Plus, he stops by the WWE Performance Center to help the young names today become the superstars of the future. If this is the end of Waltman’s in-ring career, it was a bumpy trip at times; but, he landed on his feet.

– Fans have not seen Ronda Rousey since getting pinned by Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania 35. With SmackDown debuting on Fox in a few months, Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that officials would like to see Rousey appear on the show; even if not in physical role.

“I have not heard a whisper of Ronda coming back any time soon, but I would not be surprised,” said Alvarez. “In fact, it’s practically a guarantee that they would want to get her back for the Fox debut even just to make an appearance.”

No word on Rousey’s current WWE status, but WWE seems hopeful she will be back by January and ready for a major match at WrestleMania 36 against Becky Lynch.
