Trish Stratus Headed To WWE TV

– We are still in 2019, but that does not mean people are not talking about next year’s WWE Hall of Fame. There are plenty of names to headline the class like the recently retired Dave Batista, Owen Hart and The Rock. According to PWInsider, the NWO are being discussed.

While the stable was massive, which was one of the reasons the group started to lose its appeal, the leaders were Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. If WWE does induct those NWO members, it would make all three men two-time Hall of Famers.

This year’s WrestleMania will come from Tampa, Florida, which is Hogan country. That could be why there is interest to induct the NWO. If the NWO do go in the 2020 class, it would the first time in history that stables enter the the Hall of Fame in consecutive years. Of course, DX were the top draws of the 2019 class.

– Jerry “The King” Lawler has been announced for this week’s SmackDown. He will be holding his old King’s Court segment, with the special guest being WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

While not confirmed by WWE, Status is expected to compete at SummerSlam from Toronto. Her opponent is belied to be Charlotte Flair, who recently returned to TV after taking a short break following Money in the Bank.

Do not be surprised if WWE announces Stratus vs. Flair during the segment. At the very least, there should be some interaction between the two that will eventually lead to WWE booking the match.

During her time in WWE, Stratus was easily the biggest female star. Times have changed and there are several female superstars (such as Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey) that have projected themselves into the main event scene. Stratus vs. Flair is one of those dream matches that fans will likely get to see in a matter of weeks.
