– This past week on SmackDown LIVE, Dolph Ziggler was involved in an interesting segment that included both The Miz and Shawn Michaels. During MizTV, Ziggler attacked The Heartbreak Kid, and bantered with The Miz, so it would seem as if his SummerSlam opponent could be either men.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, Dolph is not set to wrestle either superstar at SummerSlam, although he is scheduled to appear at the show, taking place on Sunday August 11th in Toronto, Ontario Canada. While there is no information on who Ziggler would be facing, as per Meltzer’s report, it will not be Michaels or Miz.
– As previously noted on WNZ, Charlotte Flair is rumored to be wrestling WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at SummerSlam, and according to Wrestling Inc., another match listed within the internal lineup for SummerSlam is Ricochet versus AJ Styles with the United States Championship on the line.
As per Wrestling Inc.’s report, there’s no indication around what Roman Reigns’ role will be at SummerSlam; however, an Intercontinental match that pits Shinsuke Nakamura versus Drew McIntyre, Cedric Alexander, and Ali is being teased as a potential match, as well as the IIconics versus Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville or the Kabuki Warriors is a thought. Only time will tell if these programs will indeed come to fruition.
