Beth Dog Duane Chapman

Dog and Beth Chapman had a love story that most people only dream of. Anyone who ever watched their “Dog the Bounty Hunter” TV shows was aware that this couple had a relationship overflowing with love. Now that Beth has passed away, it’s been made clear that Dog will never remarry.

Dog and Beth’s marriage

Duane “Dog” and Beth were married for thirteen years before Beth succumbed to throat cancer last month. Many are wondering what is next for Dog since his heart is so broken. Their daughter made it clear that his future will not include another marriage. Bonnie said her parents’ marriage was “one of a kind.”

“Nope, he found his soulmate,” Bonnie Chapman said. “No one can replace her in his heart. Their love was one of a kind, it made me believe love truly exists.”

Dog’s love for Beth was on full display at her memorial service. He has never been afraid to talk about his feelings for his bride. The tears flowed as this grieving widower paid tribute to his beloved wife.

“In the ’70s, I did 18 months in the Texas penitentiary and I told God yesterday I’d do five years, ten years day to day just to kiss her again. I never felt like this,” Dog told the mourners. “I walked through the closet the other day and I smell her. Then this morning, I could smell her.”

“She was our lion tamer,” Dog continued. “She was so gorgeous. People would say that and she wouldn’t never believe it, but I told her all the time she is gorgeous, she was so pretty.”

It’s hard to imagine Dog trying to reinvent the wheel by entering into another marriage after losing Beth. Their love really was “one of a kind” as Bonnie stated.

Dog’s eulogy of Beth at her memorial service can be seen below. Make sure to have some tissues handy because it is a real tear jerker.
