It’s always a gamble when you open up a dance competition to the paying public. However, one couple amazed the audience when they performed a perfect country swing dance at a competition during an annual music festival.

Joining other dancers, the couple stood out as an accomplished pair on the dance floor. And modern country singer Lee Brice’s “Hard To Love” as the music choice was a perfect accompaniment.

Is that a Speedo?

While the amazing dancing couple in the forefront is great, the couple in the background almost demands a second viewing of the video.

While the woman of the couple dancing in the background is wearing the standard jeans, t-shirt, and cowgirl boots, her partner is wearing boots…and a pair of tight, Speedo-like briefs emblazoned with the American flag.

Wearing crazy or shocking outfits is standard practice for dance competitions like this one. Whether or not the outfit scored them any points isn’t clear. One would hope that skill stood out against shock-value, but you never know at music festivals.

With as many talent shows as we have on television these days, it’s no surprise how talented everyday Americans are. Social media has helped give an even broader platform for professional and amateur performers alike. Now, untelevised performances are captured by audiences and shared to social media platforms where the world can watch, not just those attending the events.

The dancing couples were attendees at the annual Country Thunder music festival which takes place several times over the summer. Since 1996, Country Thunder has held festivals in Arizona, Florida, and Wisconsin. They’ve since sprung up in the rural Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta.

The 2019 Country Thunder music festivals will close out the year in Saskatchewan from July 11-14 and in Wisconsin from July 18-21.
