Carrie Underwood Opens Up About How Her 3 Miscarriages Made Her ‘Get Real With God’

Country music star Carrie Underwood just opened up to her fans in a new interview about how she dealt with the three miscarriages she suffered.

Fox News reported that after giving birth to her second child Jacob earlier this year, Underwood stunned everyone by revealing she’d had three miscarriages while trying for a second child with her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher. Underwood said in her new interview that she kept the miscarriages a secret.  She did not want people to think she was complaining even though she is blessed with so many things in her life.

“I’ve always wanted to be a good daughter to my parents but also to God and not complain, because we are beyond blessed,” she said. “I get to do what I love, I have an incredible family. I have Mike, I have Isaiah, I have great parents. I have all of these amazing people around me, and I don’t want to complain, ever.”

Underwood Questions Her Faith in God After Miscarriages

Underwood went on to say that the miscarriages made her question her relationship with God. She found herself begging him to tell her whether she would ever have a second child.

“But the miscarriages made me get real with God and say, ‘Okay, I’m kind of giving up a little bit. If this isn’t meant to happen, then I need to accept that and know that someday I’ll understand why,'” she explained.

Motherhood Brings Confidence

Now that she has her second baby, Underwood has found herself with a new sense of confidence. And, that has made her feel like she can conquer any challenge that comes her way.

“There is a thing about motherhood that makes you feel like, ‘Okay, if I can do that, I can do anything,’” Underwood said. “And I feel like I’m a little older, a little wiser. This isn’t my first rodeo.”

This serves as a reminder that God always has a plan for us. Even when things get tough in life, it’s important to persevere and never lose faith in God!

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
