The Chapman family is reeling from the death of their matriarch, Beth. The famed star of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” passed away on Wednesday following a two year battle with throat cancer. Now, the family is also dealing with people smearing her character just hours after she passed away.

Beth was beloved by many people. Her kindness was legendary. She was tough but she was also a softie with a Christian heart. Unfortunately, trolls always appear to manipulate grief. That is the case here, too.

Movie producer Tariq Nasheed felt the need to paint Beth and her family as racists. He took to Twitter to claim that Beth and Dog terrorized people of color.

Anyone who has watched “Dog the Bounty Hunter” understands that the Chapmans are welcoming people with colorblind hearts. Tariq’s tweet only exposes his cruelty.

Beth and Dog’s daughter Bonnie has been active on Twitter following her mother’s passing. The 20-year-old is grief-stricken and took notice of some nasty tweets directed at her family.

It’s awful to face the death of a loved one and then witness such hostility. Even though she battled cancer since 2017, the Chapman family appeared to be unprepared for Beth’s death. Yet, they have relied heavily on their faith for many years and that clearly will continue.

Beth and Dog Chapman made it a point to embrace people of all walks of life. They believed in second chances and they were unaffected by the color of people’s skin. This is part of the fabric of being devout Christians. We are all sinners, but we have the capacity to love all people.

Beth and Dog made it a point to speak at churches. Even while she was battling cancer, Beth looked to inspire and encourage others while leading them to Christ. In the video below, she mentions her love of diversity, but that is something that a race-baiter like Tariq Nasheed will ignore.

This is a family grieving. They deserve our respect, support, and prayers. As Bonnie tweeted along with the photo below, Beth’s children will always carry a piece of her with them.
