Steve Harvey Is Replaced on NBC’s ‘Little Big Shots’ With Surprising Person

NBC just announced that they will be replacing Steve Harvey on the show “Little Big Shots” with Academy Award nominated actress Melissa McCarthy.

Fox News reported that Harvey has been hosting the show, which sees young people showing off their various talents, for the past three seasons. One of the mainstays of the show is the host interacting with the kids in hilarious ways.

“Melissa’s just an incredible performer and incredible comedian,” said Paul Telegdy, NBC’s co-chairman of entertainment. “She will bring a completely fresh perspective to it. Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas. Changes will be apparent.”

“God has already lined up all the people in your path to get you to your dreams and your visions; all you have to do is get rid of the wrong ones,” Harvey tweeted right after it was announced that he will be replaced by McCarthy.

Talk Show Cancelled

This came immediately after it was announced that Harvey’s talk show “Steve” will be ending in June and that he will be replaced in his time slot by a new show hosted by singer Kelly Clarkson. People Magazine reported that Harvey previously said that he was upset that he learned that Clarkson would be replacing him in his time slot from the press rather than from NBC personally.

“I’m an honorable guy and I’m just an old school guy and I just thought that you’re supposed to talk to people and go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us,” he said. “This is what we’re thinking of doing. Are you okay with that?’ No, you don’t just put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m gonna make this move right here’ because it’s crazy. You look at the numbers…”

Over the weekend, Steve’s wife Marjorie posted this video of him on Instagram where he talked about seeing what God has next for him and the next chapter of his life.

Steve’s given us some memorable and hilarious moment from “Little Big Shots.” This is an all-time favorite with young ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer.

Harvey has reportedly already filmed the last episode of “Steve,” but he will continue to be seen on television hosting ABC’s “Family Feud” and “Celebrity Family Feud.”

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
