Daniel Bryan’s Return Date, Dean Ambrose Heading Back To Action

– Good news for some in the WWE Universe. As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring action, and the WWE could write him back into storylines as early as this coming television week.

DB has yet to appear at any house or televised shows since Wrestlemania 35, when he suffered an undisclosed injury during his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Kofi Kingston. The injury was closely guarded, and there’s not much information on what the issue was that kept Daniel Bryan from competition during post-Wrestlemania season and the Superstar Shake-Up; however, it seems he should be back on the radar and sometime soon.

While original plans were for Bryan to face Kingston for the WWE title at this month’s Money in the Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV), Kevin Owen ended up turning on his newly-established New Day pals and he’ll be going toe-to-toe against the champ come May 19th. The Observer did note that had Bryan been cleared weeks back, Owens would not have made that heel turn.

– Speaking of returns, as per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE superstar Dean Ambrose is making an indies comeback as Jon Moxley, in and around June.

A post-WWE vignette was released via Ambrose’s Twitter handle earlier this week, mere minutes after his contract with the company official expired, now making him a free agent. As per the report, Dean already has bookings lined up with a variety of promotions, and his comeback dates should be announced soon.

The Observer did note that Ambrose can request up to several thousand for a match, participate in meet-and-greets, and almost has complete control when it comes to working as little or as much as he wants. It also seems that he may want complete control over character development wherever he works as well.

No word yet on whether he is close to signing a deal with either All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling. We’ll stay abreast of this story and keep you posted on any further developments.
