– Some were scratching their heads this past Monday night, as to why Nikki Cross stepped in for Alexa Bliss during the Fatal Four-Way match that showcased all the Red brand female participants involved in Women’s Money in the Bank (MITB) bout during this week’s RAW, and things might seem a little clearer as to why now.
WWE announce earlier today that Little Miss Bliss has been pulled from Sunday’s ladder match, as she has not been cleared to compete. A replacement should be announced shortly. Perhaps the company will finally unleash Cross and “let Nikki play”!
No additional information has been provided around Alexa’s injury; however, she has had to deal with some concussion issues as of late, which have kept her from in-ring competition recently.
– Speaking of health-related issues, TMZ reported earlier today that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was “rushed” to an Atlanta hospital due to something “very serious”.
Conrad Thompson, Naitch’s son-in-law, participated in a Starrcast media call later in the day, stating that Flair was at the hospital today for a scheduled surgery, adding that it was planned, and the iconic wrestling superstar was not in a grave health situation. In fact, according to Thompson, The Nature Boy had been planning to have this surgery done prior to the Starrcast II convention in Las Vegas for next weekend. Thompson did not provide any additional details and relayed that it was up to Ric Flair or his wife to provide any further information to the public.
Naitch underwent surgery this past March, and the reason behind that procedure was never provided to the public. The wrestling legend did appear by his BFFs’, HHH, side during Wrestlemania 35 some weeks later, when he aided Hunter in defeating Batista.
On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we wish Ric Flair a speedy recovery after surgery. WWWOOOO!
