Last month, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg had returned to the ABC talk show “The View” after she nearly died of pneumonia. Now, it’s been revealed that Goldberg’s medical problems have since continued as she was rushed to the hospital once again last week.

Daily Mail reported that Goldberg told “The View” fans on Monday that she is feeling better after being rushed to the hospital with another illness.

“I am here, I’m much better – I’m much, much better,” said Goldberg, 63. “I had a 24-hour bug, which landed me back in the hospital last week, which is why I missed y’all on Thursday.”

Goldberg went on to say that the illness “came and went” and that she seems “to be doing well” enough to get to work. This comes weeks after Goldberg opened up about her near-death experience with pneumonia.

“I am here, I am up and moving around, not as fast as I’d like to be, but I am OK,” Goldberg said at the time. “So here is what happened: I had pneumonia, and I was septic. Pneumonia in both lungs, which mean there was fluid, there was all kinds of stuff going on. And yes, I came very, very close to leaving the Earth. Good news, I didn’t.”

“All of the wonderful things that people have been saying, even people who have not been huge fans of mine have actually said nice things about me,” she added. “We all know that’s gonna change when I get back, but for right now it’s brilliant and thank you for everything.”

Though we certainly do not agree with Goldberg’s politics, we do not want to see anything bad happen to her physically. She’s far too young to be having health problems this serious, so we can only hope and pray that she can get her health in check so that she can continue to live for many years to come.
