Ricochet Injuried At NXT Takeover New York? + AEW Lands TV Deal

– Even before Jim Ross’ WWE contract expired about a week ago, there were already rumors that he was headed to All Elite Wresting (AEW). Those rumblings turned out to be true and it did not take long for Ross to confirm that he signed with AEW. Now, Ross has reveled that AEW has a TV deal in place and expanded with a few more details.

“[AEW] is overwhelming for me,” said Ross during his appearance on WFAN Radio in New York City. “To be 67 years old and be anointed the voice of a brand that’s gonna be debuting in October on national television on a major cable network, which can’t be named now. When people hear what network we’re going on, they’re gonna be doubly excited. It’s a network we can all find.”

Ross would not give too many further details. We also learned the show will air live every week for two hour. As for the network, we will let the fans speculate that for the moment.

The voice of AEW signed a deal for three years and he will debut at Double Or Nothing on May 25 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. We will have to see if AEW reveals more details about their TV deal on the show or if they makes us wait a little longer.

AEW is yet to produce a show, but they have a talented roster and lots of money behind them. The TV deal was the main thing they were missing, but according to Ross that has changed.

– There is speculation that Ricochet was injured during his Takeover New York match. Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez noted how the match ended several minutes early and the finish was rushed, but he did not mention what happened to Ricochet.

After Aleister Black & Ricochet lost, they said goodbye to NXT fans as they are now full-time members of the main roster. They are set to be part of a fatal four-way tag team match at WrestleMania 35 against The Usos, The Bar and Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev.

If Ricochet was hurt at Takeover New York, the timing could not have been any worse. WWE could protect him in the WrestleMania match, but that is about it. Time will see if Ricochet is hurt was indeed injured at Takeover New York.
