I expected some matches to be added to the match card for Fastlane this week as the overall match card was a little thin. As a continuation from Monday, here are some of the additional matches that will take place on Sunday.
Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch face each other again in the runup to WrestleMania. Since taking her spot at WrestleMania, Becky has some issues to work out with Charlotte.
Since it is likely Becky will be added again to the match against Ronda Rousey, it is evident that Becky will win this match. However, this does not mean Charlotte will disappear from the WrestleMania match. In fact, it could be a triple threat as originally predicted.
The Shield has reunited once again and will take on the team of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley at Fastlane.
Dean Ambrose is still rumored to leave the WWE after WrestleMania, so this is most likely going to be the last run for The Shield. If Dean does stay, it does give them some future creative opportunities.
Considering the fact that Roman Reigns has only recently returned after his fight with leukemia, it is extremely unlikely that The Shield will lose this match. Therefore, I predict The Shield will take the win against this heel team. However, I also predict the rivalry between Corbin and Reigns will continue well into WrestleMania.
This is one of the matches I am excited for the most. I am quite glad it was added to the mix. The Revival are defending their tag team championships against some of the biggest talent NXT has ever seen. What’s not to like?
While I have no doubt that Aleister Black and Ricochet could do something amazing with those tag team titles, I fear that The Revival (c) may remain champions for some time to come. Don’t get me wrong, The Revival are excellent wrestlers, but the company has not paid enough attention to them for the longest time. Building interest in the team again will take some time, so I predict that The Revival will retain.
This match should be on the main card, but the WWE have decided to put this on the pre-show (for now). The rivalry between Andrade Cien Almas and Rey Mysterio can go on forever in my book, and I think it will continue for some time. Therefore, I predict Cien Almas will take this one with some interference from Zelina Vega.
