He might be “retired” from MMA, but former UFC champion Conor McGregor remains interested in what is going on.

Or, at least whoever is running his personal Twitter account does.

McGregor posted on Saturday night following UFC on ESPN 2 his thoughts on the main event victory by Justin Gaethje over Edson Barboza. The two lightweights traded blows for two-plus minutes before Gaethje put Barboza away with a thunderous right-hand.

“That was well done all the way through,” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “Congratulations Justin.”

McGregor, who previously held the title in the lightweight division, announced he was leaving MMA recently. It remains unknown at this time if that will hold up or if we have seen the end of “Notorious” inside the Octagon.
