Chris Pratt Christian

Hollywood A-list star Chris Pratt just opened up about how his strong faith in God has helped him to avoid the pitfalls of fame.

Chris Pratt Promotes Christianity On “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

Most Hollywood stars avoid talking about Christianity as much as possible and instead use their platforms to spread liberal propaganda. In contrast, Pratt uses his position as one of the most famous actors in the world to spread Christianity and urge others to find God as well.

While appearing on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to promote the release of his new film The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Pratt was asked about his recent 21-day fast, which was inspired by the prophet Daniel.

“I was inspired by my pastor, we do it. It’s kind of like our Lent, you know, we give something up,” Pratt explained, according to Fox News. “So for 21 days I had no meat, no sugar, no alcohol… and it was actually amazing. It was really cool.”

Colbert humorously asked if his fast involved going into a lion’s den, as Daniel does in the story, to which Pratt replied, “Sick cardio. Lion fighting is sick cardio.”

Pratt Gets Serious About His Christian Faith

Things got deeper when Colbert asked Pratt if he has ever found himself in a metaphorical lion’s den because of his fame. Pratt answered this with a quote from pastor Christine Caine.

“If the spotlight that’s shining on you is brighter than the light that comes from within you, it’ll kill you. And you see it all the time. People in our position, people that are actors, you see it a lot. It’s a real bright spotlight. Sometimes just having a self to share is what kills you because there’s nothing left. So you have to have a light to share. A light that’s just as bright as any of these lights. Then you can survive and then you can save some of yourself and not give it all away.”

Not The Only Christian In Hollywood

Conservative Christian actor Kevin Sorbo gave the Pratt some well-deserved props. And also noted that Pratt using “The Late Show” to promote a message of faith must be driving Colbert CRAZY.

The ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journey’ star says that being open about his beliefs in Hollywood negatively impacted his career: Kevin Sorbo: Being Conservative “Hurt My Career”.

So it’s refreshing to see an actively working Hollywood A-lister actually using his fame to do something good.

Fame seems to go to the heads of many Hollywood stars who start thinking that they know everything and have the right to preach to other Americans about how we should vote and live our lives.

In contrast, Pratt is not telling us what to do at all. Instead, he is leading by example by showing us all the positives that come with being a good Christian man.

We need more Hollywood stars like Chris Pratt!
