In the secular world of Hollywood, it’s rare for any actor to speak out about being a Christian. That’s why millions of Americans applauded Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt last month when he took the stage at the MTV Movie and TV Awards to praise God and encourage the youthful audience to find Jesus. Now, Pratt is speaking out once again to explain why exactly he made these comments.

“God is real. God loves, you, God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do,” Pratt said in his speech, going on to tell his young audience to “learn to pray.”

The vast majority of Hollywood A-list stars use their platforms to spread liberal propaganda or promote their own businesses. In a new interview, Pratt explained that unlike them, he is trying to use the platform that he has been given as an actor to encourage young people all over the country to consider finding God.

“That kind of a message, it might not be for everybody. But there is a group of people for whom that message is designed,” Pratt said, according to Fox News. “And nothing fills my soul more than to think that maybe some kid watching that would say, ‘Hey, I’ve been thinking about that. I’ve been thinking about praying. Let me try that out.’”

As the face of multiple action movie franchises, Pratt is looked up to by millions of kids all over not only the U.S. but the world. The fact that he is taking this opportunity to change the lives of his fans by helping them find God is beyond refreshing and is something that he should definitely be praised for.

While we are proud of Pratt for his quest to spread Christianity, he said something at another point in this interview that I do not agree with. He tried to argue that Hollywood is not “anti-anything.”

“I think that there’s this narrative that exists out there that Hollywood is anti-Christian or anti-religious, but it’s just not the case,” Pratt said. “They are kind of not anti-anything.”

Pratt himself must know that this is not true. Hollywood shows their anti-Christian views all the time. Earlier this very week, Thandie Newton was applauded at the Emmy Awards when she said she did not believe in God. During that same show, host Michael Che claimed that “the only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.”

If that’s not anti-Christian, I don’t know what is!

To say Hollywood is “not anti-anything” is also completely false, as it does not take a rocket scientist to see how anti-Republican Hollywood is. It’s difficult to name enough openly-conservative actors working today to fill one hand. While there are likely more conservative actors in Hollywood than we know about, they rarely open up about their views publicly due to fears of never working again in the industry. They have good reason to worry about this, as Academy Award-nominated actor James Woods has said that he was “blacklisted” after he started expressing his conservative views.

Roseanne Barr, a proud Trump supporter, was blacklisted after posting a tweet about a member of Barack Obama’s administration that many found to be offensive. While her tweet was wrong, many believe she would have been forgiven had she been a liberal making a similar comment about a member of Donald Trump’s administration.

Tim Allen is virtually the only open Trump supporter working in television since Fox just resurrected his sitcom “Last Man Standing.” However, he will have to tread carefully due to his conservative views, as Hollywood liberals have shown that they will seize any opportunity they can to take down a Trump-supporting entertainer.

Pratt himself likely knows all of this and only made the comment about Hollywood being “not anti-anything” so as not to anger the liberals who are signing his paychecks. The liberals of Hollywood still see themselves as “open-minded,” so they would not take very kindly to Pratt calling them out for their bigotry. Liberals in Hollywood are “open-minded” to anyone who agrees with their views, and they want to silence anyone who doesn’t.

Ah, the hypocrisy of liberals!
