roxli brain tumor disappeared

11-year-old Roxli Doss of Buda, Texas was diagnosed with a rare deadly disease called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG, in June.

Today, she’s healthy again. She’s even horseback riding and being a normal, happy little girl.

Her family prayed for a miracle and it happened: their daughter’s rare disease–an inoperable brain tumor–has completely disappeared.

“It is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease,” Dell Children’s Medical Center’s Dr. Virginia Harrod told KVUE. “You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing.”

Young Roxli went through weeks of radiation, even though her doctor said there is no cure.

“Their prayers were answered”

WHIOTV reports, “Roxli’s parents, Gena Doss and Scott Doss, held a benefit for their daughter in their Buda, Texas community in August. Hundreds came out in support, according to KVUE, and the Doss family continued to pray for a miracle.”

“Their prayers were answered.”

“When I first saw Roxli’s MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable,” Harrod said. “The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual.”

Gena Doss and Scott Doss say it’s thanks to God.

“Every day we still say it,” Gena Doss said. “It’s kind of our family thing  — God healed Roxli.”

“She is just as active as she ever was,” Scott Doss said.

She will continue her treatments, and of course doctors are still keeping a close eye on Roxli.

But what happened was nothing short of a miracle.

It’s amazing what can happen when family gather around one another in times of crisis, let their love pour out, and ask for God’s help.

Roxli Doss is a testament of what can happen when you keep the faith, an important message this holiday season and every season.

God bless Roxli and her family.
