Pat Boone conservative

There are certainly more liberals than conservatives in Hollywood and entertainment in general. But even those who are conservative usually keep it a secret. Just ask Pat Boone.

The legendary singer and actor said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that conservative stars in Hollywood are often too afraid to discuss their politics out of fear of public backlash.

“There used to be more of us,” said Boone. “Tom Selleck, Jon Voight, Bruce Willis, who were outspoken, but they’ve been browbeaten and ridiculed, which is the main instrument on the left to shut us up.”

Boone is 84-years-old and has been an outspoken conservative for many years. He claims he has no regrets about espousing his views, even though he knows it has cost him work and other relationships.

Pat Boone’s conservative past

The singer said he noticed he was invited to less Hollywood events after publicly declaring himself a conservative Republican and openly supporting Ronald Reagan.

Boone, 83, said he noticed a decline in the number of invitations he received to events in Hollywood after publicly identifying himself as a conservative Republican and supporter of Ronald Reagan.

Bonne seems to take it all in stride, seeing even silver linings to hard left Hollywood’s disdain of conservatives.

“It’s been a great relief because most of the things I had to make excuses for not coming; I mean, I didn’t want to go to a lot of the events that were taking place and I’ve long since lost interest in just the standard movie premiere, I can watch it on Netflix or when it comes around or I can go to the theater,” Bonne said in 2017. “They all begin to after a while seem to be very much alike and people show up not to see the film but to be seen themselves, and I say I don’t need that anymore.”

Boone also believes President Trump will be re-elected in 2020.

“He said exactly what he was going to do and he’s doing it,” said Boone.

Hopefully, Boone will serve as an inspiration for other conservatives to step out of the darkness and proudly proclaim what they believe.
